Check out SoulPancake

Rainn Wilson, best known for his role as Dwight on the Office (and his hilarious Twitter account), has released a book, titled Soulpancake (also the title of his website - which is also really good).

The book looks to be superb, an inspiring romp through his take on creativity, life and everything in between.

I’m thinking this should be required reading for Planners.  And if you haven’t browsed his website, then what are you waiting for?  (My current favorite creative challenge is writing your autobiography in 6 words.)

Having a website without the website

Following on the heels of Boone Oakley’s YouTube website, is the Argentinian agency Kamchatka, with their agency website listed as a series of Twitter accounts.

Kamchatka Site Demo from Kamchatka on Vimeo.

It’s an interesting idea, but might be a little too convoluted for users. Time will tell!

You be the judge (or the judged)

We just stumbled across an interesting site - SeriouslySorry.com - allows you to either submit your confession to whatever is eating at you, or alternately to sit in judgement of site submissions and accept or deny the apology.

I like the way the platform appeals to two such different audiences - those needing to confess (semi- or completely anonymously) and those who want to forgive or condemn.

A very cheesy promotion

Cheetos is running a funny promotion through rich media ads and on their microsite - the Cheetos Lookalike Analyzer.

They give these incredibly detailed (and very tongue-in-cheek) directions for taking part in this analysis of your cheeto - asking you to tape it to a white piece of paper and then take a picture and upload it for the analysis.

And then they analyze the photo to determine what real-world thing the cheeto looks like.

Like the Venus de Milo for my upload.  Of course I couldn’t let it end there, so I uploaded my picture of a cheeto that bears a striking resemblance to the Köln Dom, like so:

Wouldn’t you know it, they had a match!  (Albeit with a relatively low match rate - kudos to their tech team.)
