Next time, text your emergency.
Here’s an interesting trend: texting your emergency. One US community now accepts SMS text messages instead of voice calls to 911. Doesn’t seem weird to me, but rather long overdue. I could think of a dozen examples where texting could be a better means to alert police when you are in distress. Also, why hasn’t this been implemented before?
