Don't have a copywriter? No problem, just rip off the copy from Hollywood screenwriters.

Nein.

Is strategy really the new creative?

Thanks B!!

All I know is that strategists are currently seem to be in the lead of defining the playing field in which creative solutions need to appear. Unlike their creative counterparts, strategists have the luxury of not having to be defined by the success of their channel-based creative output only. In fact, it is our job not to gauge the work just for the sake of the work. We’re gauged by the connections we make between channels (to, in turn, connect brand and people). And because of this, maybe it is easier for strategy folk to integrate different strategy discplines than it is for creatives to integrate theirs.

But this doesnt mean to me that strategists are the new creatives. If anything it just means that some strategists are new strategists who are desperately wanting to work with a new creative. And, again, this means leaving behind a) linear creative process and b) the reign of the art director / copywriter duo.

Augmented Reality Cookies

Haha, that is friggin ridiculous.

Strategic Planning: can we finally integrate? Yes, we can.

@tim yeah. I think in order to deliver marketing innovation these days, at least strategically you have to cover product innovation as well.

oh and btw, the described internal client struggles weren’t just ours, but those of all the planners in the workshop. It’s a fundamental issue.

Nastiness Trending

Oh really, how did you come across this article?

I rest my case.

Pirate Paper Boat

Thank god it had a violent ending, otherwise I would have puked.

What NOT to do in social media

Yeah. Mashable.com is a good resource.

A very cheesy promotion

This looks like the creatives started smoking the cheetos instead of eating them. However, I have to say that the unfathomability of the outcome of the picture analysis gets you to try it out a couple of times.
