I call it Cellular Pausely: That thing where you are having a lovely conversation and then everyone takes out their phones and stops talking to each other.

How often has this happened to you?  How often have you done it?  Do the alerts, flashing lights and vibrations of our phones create irresistible an Pavlovian response to get connected with our virtual lives, even while we are standing or sitting next to perfectly available humans?

Well, did you think it wasn’t possible? Well, think again! Now your dog can send you Tweets about their activities and what it is doing! All you need is Puppy Tweets..
If you are tired of all the Facebook comments about “I’m hungry” or “Waking up”, well, you may add “Chasing my tail” to the list, because of course, someone will repost the dog’s tweets.
I don’t know, and it is not specified, if it can also be applied to cats, ferrets and other pets, and if you don’t believe me, you may want to check the link.

Okay, this is about the craziest technological trend I have spotted in a while. Robotic furniture that is self-powered through the electricity generated from the living and dying of insects, rodents and other small animals, using microbial fuel cells. The product category is called Carnivorous Domestic Entertainment Robots. “Huh?”, you say? That’s what I said. Check it out:

It looks like this video was posted to Vimeo 2 years ago already. I am surprised this interesting trend hasn’t caught on and that I hadn’t heard about it before. I would have expected to see first implementations ready for sale at Ligne Roset? Joking and issues of taste aside, I would love to see the marketing brief for this one.
