Shareholder Value
Angelika Express is an indie rock band hailing from Cologne and they will produce a record – if you let them. They are financing their album by selling shares of it to individual investors. In return, the investor will own a percentage of the album and reap the financial rewards of any success. Morton Valence has done that as well in the past and it worked quiet well. Interesting approach and not the first time that small bands make use of the internet and suddenly turn into the next big thing.
